By becoming a member of the Filipino-American National Historical Society Metro NY Chapter, you will be supporting the understanding, education, documentation and appreciation of the history and culture of New Yorkers of Filipino experience.
Our flagship events typically occur during Filipino American History Month, with opening and closing ceremonies hosted by the Chapter, community awards, and other events that we co-sponsor with community partners. Membership includes discounted rates to our occasional paid events, advance notice of upcoming events and programming, and a qualification for discounts to the biennial conference.
Membership dues are allocated to overhead costs for promotional materials and nominal administrative needs, and also for our events (space rental, refreshments, occasional honorariums for special guests) which we generally aim to keep free to the public. As a chapter of the Filipino American National Historical Society, we are a 501c3 nonprofit, and your membership fees are deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
